Full Service Law Firm engages WSI for better web visibility and growth

Bob Peterson - Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Carosella and Associates is a full service Law firm located in West Chester, Pa. The firm’s lawyers are experienced and well-rounded in various areas of law, serving clients in Chester County, Montgomery County, Delaware County in Pennsylvania, and also Southern New Jersey.

The Carosella firm has been a long time client of WSI starting with their first website in 2009. Recently, the firm re-engaged WSI to rebuild their website to be more reflective of the firm’s current focus and to be mobile responsive to suit the modern site users. In addition, we are implementing an SEO plan for the new website in order to increase the firm’s visibility in their target client area.

As part of the new plan, we will optimize the site for the relevant and highly searched keywords in their target geographic area. These keywords are selected from the firm’s services in the realm of business law, real estate law and estate law.

WSI is also providing content writing services to the firm, by creating high quality, relevant blogs which will be posted on blogging platforms like WordPress, Weebly, and Blogger.

Thought Carosella and Associates are well known in the local West Chester Area, the firm has been hard to find on the internet and hence their reach has been somewhat limited to their local area. As WSI’s SEO strategies take effect, we plan to bring them to the first page of Google search results for their chosen keywords and as a result get more potential clients to visit their website. In addition, the newly designed website has conversion features like the pop-up contact form, which will help increase the number of site visitors who contact the firm and become clients.

Bob Peterson - Tuesday, August 04, 2015

The Conco Companies are one of the USA’s largest commercial concrete contractors, and holders of the Guinness World Book of Records record for the largest continuous concrete mat pour, on the Wilshire Grand in LA scheduled to be completed in 2017.

WSI is one of the largest digital marketing agencies in the world, with over 1,000 offices in 81 countries.

WSI and Conco have just agreed to strengthen a mutually beneficial partnership that has dramatically improved Conco’s online presence and lead generation. First initiated in July 2013, the engagement initially focused solely on SEO, and has since blossomed into a comprehensive service offering including SEO, web development, e-mail marketing, social media marketing, PPC and mobile app development.

Over the last 12 month’s WSI’s has added 62 pages to the Conco site, posted 120 off site blogs to multiple accounts, created and marketed an Android and Apple mobile app that features the available concrete pumps that Conco offers at its various locations, and optimized 5 different social media platforms.

Moving forward, WSI will continue to optimize Conco’s web presence through the creation of a newly designed responsive web site, a drive to expand Conco’s already impressive e-mail list, increased social media presence, add a Weebly blogging account and deepen SEO efforts on high value keywords in SEO.  Specifically, WSI will focus on moving Conco up into top three ranking positions for the following high value keywords:

  • concrete pumping services
  • concrete pumping companies

Last, but certainly not least, WSI will also focus on improving Conco’s web presence in Denver by increasing visibility of the following geo-modified keywords such as “concrete contractors Denver”.

The Main Street Gateway Project in Bellevue Washington. The Conco Companies provided the structural concrete package this mixed-use project. This includes the pumping, place and finish, shotcrete, and formwork along with supplying the reinforcement.

The Kinects Tower in Seattle Washington. This is a new mixed-use 41-story high-rise currently under construction.  Once complete the tower will consist of 356 multi-family units varying from traditional studios to luxury penthouse suites located on the top two floors as well as 4,658 sq. ft. of retail space on the ground level. SALON ELITE ENGAGES WSI FOR A DIGITAL MAKEOVER

Bob Peterson - Monday, June 15, 2015

Salon Elite of Ventura is one of the top hair, skin and nail salons in Southern California serving clients from Santa Barbara to Thousand Oaks, California.   They have been in business over 8 years and have a staff of twelve stylists,  two estheticians and three nail technicians.

Problem:  Salon Elite had an old, unattractive and dated website which they could not modify and did not reflect their high-end clientele.  Their website was not mobile-friendly nor was it ranking for any keywords.  In addition,  the old site did not have a clear way to contact Salon Elite.

Solution:  WSI Ventura Web Marketing worked with them to determine their desired look and feel and provided a new, modern, streamlined, mobile-friendly website.  In addition, WSI provided a matching Google Plus page to further improve their local presence as local search ranking is critical for any regional business.  Google Analytics has been included on their site to track website traffic volume, source of traffic, visitor demographics and key search terms used by their clients.

Results:  The owners are extremely happy to have a site that reflects their high-end image and that their customer’s love.  Their new site has a clear call to action and looks great on a mobile device which we anticipate more than 50% of their traffic will use.   They can also modify the site to update images and add special event information.  WSI will be working with them monthly to review their search ranking in key geographies and Google Analytic data.

About WSI:

WSI is the global leader in digital marketing.  On average there are over two billion searches done on Google across the world every single day.  Consumers are using the results in search engines to help them make an informed purchasing decision, so if you aren’t ranking in the first page for your specific keywords, you could be missing out on a sale.  WSI would be happy to discuss your local SEO, national SEO, or e-commerce SEO goals.

WSI Updates Website for JCH Consulting Group

Bob Peterson - Friday, May 22, 2015

JCH Group is a Senior Housing & Skilled Nursing Brokerage Firm acting nationally to facilitate buying and selling Assisted Living Facilities. The senior population is growing at exponential speeds, making the owning and operation of senior living facilities a burgeoning business.

JCH works with buyers as well as sellers, and has inventory in all areas of the United States. The Group also has expertise in resolving bankruptcy issues for owners of assisted living facilities.

WSI has been a provider of SEO services for JCH, who has been operating with a build in place website with limited SEO capability. We have been engaged to update the website in order to enhance marketing and bring the look, feel and function of the website up to modern capabilities.

WordPress will be used as a platform, using responsive web design to enhance mobile search capability, and in light of new Google search practices, to enhance ranking. A number of features will be implemented to aid in conversion, including the consideration of a Live Chat function. An updated URL is being considered as well, and since SEO is in place, the use of 301 redirects will be extensively implemented in order not to disturb work already done.

The site will be up and functional in about 6 weeks, at which time we will update information.

Google's "Mobile Friendly" Update

Bob Peterson - Friday, April 10, 2015

From the WSIWorld.com blog...

The Details of Google’s Mobile Algorithm Update

Google announced the mobile changes themselves, so we may as well take advantage of this rare occurrence and get our information straight from the source. Here's Google's summation of the update, taken from their announcement post:

"Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices."

Amidst the craziness about this admittedly important update, people seem to have missed the fact that Google's goal is extremely simple (not to mentioned completely in line with everything they've been working towards). Google wants to improve the searcher experience, and to do this, they need to ensure that the relevant, hight-quality content they've been pushing for is optimized for the mobile devices people are using. Is anybody truly surprised by this?

If you've been paying attention during the last year, you're probably more prepared for this update than you realize. You're churning out better content, you're involved socially and you're not involved in anything spammy or thin. Nothing can undo all this good work, so don't worry - you're still on the right track.

What You Need To Do

Another indication that the mobile update isn't just a penalizing update is the fact that Google is telling everybody exactly what they need to do. Along with announcing the what and the when, Google released in-depth resources to help webmasters improve their sites so that they meet the update's standards. Here's what you can do, right now:

1. Test Your Site - Google has created a mobile-friendly test that you can use to determine whether your site is ready for the update. What's clear about this update is that it's black and white; your site is either mobile-friendly or it's not, there's no middle ground. The test will only examine the exact URL you submit, so if your site has different components and page-types, make sure you analyze them all. Here's what the results of a mobile-friendly test look like:

As you can see, our homepage is mobile-friendly. It looks like we've got some cleaning up to do with regard to Googlebot's ability to crawl some of the resources on our page, but again, Google is telling us what we need to do to fix this. When we plug in a site that isn't yet mobile-friendly, here's what we get:

This site has failed the mobile-friendly test, but if this were your site, Google doesn't leave you out in the cold wondering what the heck to do next. Whether you built the site yourself, used a CMS or had a third-party create the site for you, Google tells you what you need to do to make your site mobile-friendly.

When it comes down to it, what you need to do is simple: test your site and then follow Google's instructions. If you can make your site mobile-friendly on your own, great. And if you need help, that's fine too (there are people who do this for a living, you know).

Is Your Web Site Ready for Mobile?

Bob Peterson - Monday, March 09, 2015

Forbes - 2/24/2015

...smartphone usage is expected to soar above 2 billion users sometime in 2015, meaning that over a quarter of the world’s population will be using a smartphone by the end of the year.

This has major ramifications for business owners. Alongside the rapid emergence of the mobile web has come an increasing need for mobile websites and compatibility. More and more smartphone users are using their phones to make purchases, as over half of all mobile searches lead to a purchase.

Even Google has begun to take notice. On January 19th, Google sent notifications out to webmasters from across the country to warn them of the mobile capability errors on their website. The suddenness of the notification is just another chapter in the conversation that Google will likely once again be rolling out yet another update to its ranking algorithms, centered around your site’s mobile compatibility.

Webmasters across the country are scrambling to get their websites in line. Is yours ready?

Google has started testing the addition of a "Mobile Ready" indicator to mobile search results. Has your site been converted to be responsive or adaptive? Is a mobile conversion project in your budget and plans for 2015?

Why a fully responsive website is a priority in 2016

Bob Peterson - Saturday, December 27, 2014
Fully responsive design Do I really need a fully responsive website? A question, which, if asked in 2012/13 would have received a very different answer. At that time, the numbers of people using mobile devices to access the internet were relatively low and the technology for fully responsive was quite new. It was still quite expensive and in some areas even a little unstable. In all likelihood, if you needed a mobile friendly site at a reasonable cost and didn't need ecommerce, you would have been advised to have a separate mobile friendly site. However, in 2016, if you don’t have a fully responsive website it’s very likely that you will be losing business to your competitors.
  • More than 90% of adults have their mobile phone within arms reach 24 hours a day
  • More than 60% of emails are opened using a mobile device
  • There was a 112% increase in mobile traffic to retailer sites in 2014
  • 70% of people will leave a site on a mobile device if it doesn’t load quickly or is not user friendly
  • Google mobile searches now indicate if a site is mobile friendly making it even easier for consumers to avoid a site that isn’t
  • 98% of text messages are opened in under 5 seconds
  • Last Christmas saw high street retailers using iBeacons and Near Field Communication (NFC) to push offers and information to people’s mobile phones as they were shopping
All of the above means having a fully responsive website is no longer an option, it’s a necessity!
So, what exactly is a fully responsive website?
A fully responsive website is one which loads and displays in a user friendly format regardless of the device you are using. With more than 70% of smartphone owners using their phones to search the internet, it is essential that they are able to view your site just as easily on a mobile as on any other device.
What does ‘user friendly’ mean?
In a fully responsive terms, user friendly means things like
  • Images and video loading quickly and correctly; resizing and displaying within the viewable space
  • No need to zoom in to read text
  • No need to scroll across the page to read the full text
  • Content format (priority) changing according to the size of the screen viewable
  • The ability to click on links and buttons using thumbs without also clicking other content
  • The ability to click on any telephone number shown to call it immediately
All of these things are essential for a good user experience on a mobile device.
What happens if we don’t go responsive?
It’s likely that you could lose business. To what extent will depend on the type of business you are. At the very least you will be failing to maximise on the opportunities that mobile marketing has to offer. We are a population that uses the internet while on the go. We are increasingly choosing to shop on mobiles and tablets, often switching between devices (67% of searches start on one device before moving on to a second). If we aren’t buying online then we research online before we shop and then research further using mobile devices while still in store. We expect to be able view and click on offers and promotions that we receive by email or text, regardless of where we are and what device we are using. It’s vital that your site accommodates this. Setting up a fully responsive website can take a little longer, but taking that bit of extra time will bring dividends in the long run. Not only will mobile searches tell users your site is mobile friendly, guiding them to choose you over one that isn’t, but a fully responsive website also has some other side benefits:
  • Longer term cost reductions as you only have one site to maintain
  • Easier measurement as you’ll only have one set of analytics to review
  • Easier campaign optimisation based on easier analytics
If you haven’t refreshed your website for a while and are thinking it’s time for an update, then fully responsive is the way to go. If you have updated your site recently but didn’t opt for fully responsive, than at the very least you need to make sure you have a mobile friendly version of your current site. It’s not as cost effective in the long term or efficient as fully responsive for the reasons stated above, but at least you won’t be penalised by the search engines. If you want help or advice about updating your website for 2016 and beyond, get in touch. Book of numbers CTA
